Baby's Room

We spent a lot of time this past weekend working on the baby's room...organizing, hanging stuff, washing stuff, etc.  My parents were SOOO helpful in everything since I felt overwhelmed at the task in front of me.  But I do love organizing and enjoyed looking through all the clothes that we get to dress our little guy in and all the goodies and toys that our friends and family have given us.  I think he has more clothes than me.  And I realize that babies just require a lot of stuff.  Or maybe we just think they require a lot of stuff, and all they really need is just love and attention (and some food and diapers)!  Pictures below...and NO...there are no hints to the babies name in ANY of the pictures!

Wall hangings from Hobby Lobby & one of his toy boxes on the ground

Dresser
Canvas hanging over the dresser.
Matt and I picked a "life verse" for him and I painted this canvas.
"Be strong and courageous.  Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go."  Joshua 1:9

Crib & Mobile
The curtains and wall mount boxes with sports stuff in them.

This is the hutch that is yet to be organized.  We are getting the bottom part to this
next week which will be our changing table and more drawer space.
Our sweet friend Lauren made this to match his room.  We will hang it up on the crib
wall next to his name (which will be over the crib).  The name won't be put up
until after he's here of course, so no one can sneak up there and find out!
We're about 4 weeks away....we can't wait!

  2. Friend! I got teary-eyed just thinking about you having a life verse for your baby boy, praying it over him and encouraging him with it. Wow! I am looking forward to seeing you love this kiddo & lead him in the ways of the Lord. You both will be fantastic parents!
